Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, represented by the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), has discussed potential collaboration and investment opportunities in the petroleum sector with Greece’s Copelouzos Group, as per a statement.
This came during a meeting between the Minister of Petroleum Karim Badawi and the group’s Chairman Dimitrios Copelouzos.
The meeting was also attended by the group’s CEO of Renewables and Energy Storage Ioannis Karydas, Chairman of EGAS Yassin Mohamed, and Assistant Chairman for EGAS’ Technical Office, Special Projects, and Process Safety Moataz Atef.
Moreover, the two sides probed possible cooperation in the fields of natural gas and infrastructure.
On a related note, the Minister of Electricity Mahmoud Esmat has also met with Copelouzos to mull bolstering cooperation in the fields of new and renewable energy.
Also, they reviewed the updates on the Egyptian-Greece electricity interconnection project.
