Egypt raises fuel prices; diesel price remains unchanged

Arab Finance: Egypt’s Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee has decided to amend the fuel prices in the local market, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources revealed in an official statement on March 2nd.

The price of the 80-octane gasoline increased to EGP 8.75 per liter from EGP 8, while the price of the 92-octane gasoline rose to EGP 10.25 per liter from EGP 9.25.

Additionally, the price of the 95-octane gasoline has been increased to EGP 11.50 per liter from EGP 10.75.

The price of diesel fuel remained the same at EGP 7.25 per liter.

Additionally, the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) has been increased to EGP 4.50 per meter.

Meanwhile, mazut prices for all purposes, except for bakeries and electricity producers, will be charged at EGP 6,000 per ton.
