Egypt launches Shoulder-to-Shoulder Initiative

Arab Finance: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi witnessed the launching ceremony of the Shoulder-to-Shoulder initiative to celebrate the efforts of thousands of volunteers helping to provide food to over 20 million people nationwide, Egyptian presidency stated on March 17th.
The initiative is being launched by the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW).
“What we are witnessing today is only an affirmation of the will of these valiant people and a demonstration of their ability to turn adversity into opportunities, crisis into success and achievement, a view of humanity,” El-Sisi said during his speech.
El-Sisi added that through national project for the development of the Egyptian countryside, Egypt targets raising the standard of living of more than 4,000 villages for about 58 million citizens and with a budget of more than EGP 700 billion.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the great people of Egypt for all their efforts and sacrifices to stand assured today, celebrating much of what have been achieved and will be accomplished to show the world over and over again our abilities to overcome challenges and take the homeland toward the horizons of the future,” the Egyptian president added while concluding his speech.
