Egypt eyes exporting vegetables to Netherlands via RoRo line
 

Arab Finance: The Egyptian government is considering exporting vegetables to the Netherlands through the operation of a roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) line between the local ports (Damietta-Alexanderia) and the Port of Rotterdam, according to a statement by the Egyptian ministry on March 20th.

In his meeting with the Dutch Ambassador to Cairo Han-Maurits Schaapveld, Minister of Transport Kamel Al-Wazir confirmed that his ministry will provide all the necessary requirements for making this project a success, as part of an ambitious plan to develop the maritime transport sector in Egypt.

The Egyptian minister also expressed his country’s aspiration to cooperate with the Dutch side in all fields of transport.

In addition, the pair discussed cooperation in the field of river transport, especially with the great progress achieved by the Netherlands in this field.
