Arab Finance: The House of Representatives has endorsed a draft law submitted by the government to issue a law on establishing an Egyptian intellectual property authority, as per a statement on June 20^th.

The proposed draft aims to establish a national authority specialized in protecting citizens’ intellectual property rights after noticing there are multiple administrative intellectual property authorities affiliated with several ministries and entities, which causes distraction.

On the other hand, the Intellectual Property Authority aims to achieve economic, social, and cultural development, in addition to developing knowledge economy in accordance with the latest international practices.
