Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has ended Sunday’s trading session on a mixed note, with the benchmark EGX30 index ending the session unchanged at 17,343.13 points.
Market capitalization closed the session at EGP 1.171 trillion.
The EGX50 equal-weight index (EWI) saw a 0.02% uptick to stand at 3162.34 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI index shed 0.15% to end the session at 3,422.99 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI index lost 0.03%, notching 5,082.74 points.
Today’s trading saw 468.106 million shares exchanged over 58,130 transactions, with a turnover of EGP 1,002 trillion.
As regards investor’s trading activity, retail investors seized 85.77% of total trading transactions, while institutional investors made up 14.22% of trading.
Egyptian traders constituted 93.14% of total trading transactions, while Arab and foreign investors accounted for 5.76% and 1.11%, respectively.
Egyptian and non-Arab traders were net purchasers with EGP 9.350 million and EGP 6.831 million. Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 16.182 million.
