SCA, Maersk renew cooperation in training, green transition fields

Arab Finance: The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) has signed an agreement with the Danish shipping and logistics firm Maersk to renew cooperation in the fields of training and green transition, as per a statement on August 31st.

The deal also covers probing joint collaboration between both sides’ subsidiaries Port Said Shipyard and Svitzer in the field of tugboat construction.

This is in addition to considering cooperation between Maersk and SCA’s shipyards in the field of ship recycling.

On related note, the two sides discussed plans to revamp the Suez Canal Container Company (SCCT) at East Port Said port and transforming it into smart eco-friendly terminal.

They also touched upon ways to boost traffic rate of Maersk Line’s ships across the Suez Canal.
