Petroleum Ministry launches Egyptian International Bid Round 2023

Arab Finance: The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company (GANOPE) have launched the Egyptian International Bid Round 2023, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on September 25th.

A total of 23 blocks are open for exploration in the Western and Eastern Deserts, Eastern Desert, Gulf of Suez and Red Sea.

Bidders can register on the Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG) portal.

The petroleum ministry plans to launch the natural gas bid rounds in March of every year and the oil bid rounds in September or October of every year, according to a disclosure by the EUG.
