Majid Al Futtaim opens 1st Carrefour store in Port Said

Arab Finance: Majid Al Futtaim has opened the first Carrefour store in Port Said at the Helnan resort in the city of Port Fouad, according to an emailed press release on September 27th.

The store inauguration comes as part of Majid Al Futtaim’s expansion plan to reach a wider customer base across Egypt.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of Port Said Adel Al-Ghadban, Country Manager of Majid Al Futtaim Retail in Egypt Philippe Peguilhan, Chairman of Al-Hamzawy Holding Group for Real Estate Investment Tamer Al-Hamzawy, and CEO of Al- Hamzawy Holding Group for Real Estate Investment Karim Al-Hamzawy.

Spanning 1,000 square meters, the new store offers various food and non-food items, with up to 7,000 products, including beverages, fresh and frozen foods, bakeries, and light household products.

The store also provides a wide range of services, such as home delivery and e-payment services, stemming from Majid Al Futtaim’s vision to create “great moments for everyone, everyday”.

“We are working towards overcoming any challenges that investors may face, and we welcome this fruitful and successful cooperation between Majid Al Futtaim and Helnan Port Fouad Resort, which represents a significant breakthrough for our residents,” Al-Ghadban commented.

“It follows the strategy of the retail sector in line with our goals of improving living conditions and enhancing the quality of life for all families,” he added.

For his part, Peguilhan commented: “We are continuously expanding our network to reach our customers in various governorates, and remain dedicated to enhancing our investments as a strategic partner in the retail sector.”
