Egypt, Honeywell mull cooperation in SAF production projects

Arab Finance: Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla and the US-based Honeywell’s CEO for the Middle East, North Africa, Türkiye, and Central Asia Mohammed Mohaisen have probed cooperation in several green projects, especially sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production, a statement showed.

Both sides discussed the possibility of setting up a new firm for SAF production with an annual capacity of 120,000 tons via using cooking oil as a basic raw material.

The company is set to be established by the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM), in cooperation with private firms, in Alexandria.
