SCA grants 20-45% rebate of tolls for South-West African dry bulk vessels starting November

Arab Finance: The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) will grant dry bulk ships operating between Egypt’s Red Sea ports and South-West African ports rebate on transit fees ranging between 20% and 45%, the authority announced.

Vessels moving from or to Ghana, Togo, Benin, or Nigeria will be granted a 20% rebate of tolls, while those travelling from or to Cameroon will attain a 45% rebate.

The decision will come into force as of November 1^st, 2023, until June 30^th, 2024.
