Egypt, Germany probe boosting green energy, petrochemicals cooperation

Arab Finance: The governments of Egypt and Germany are mulling over ways of enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of green energy and petrochemicals, Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources stated on November 1st.

This has been discussed during a meeting between the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla and the Director-General for Climate Diplomacy, Economic Affairs, and Technology in the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin Oliver Rentschler and his accompanying delegation.

El-Molla said that Egypt is developing a strategy to capture, store, and benefit from carbon.

For his part, Rentschler said that Egypt is one of the most important countries that can be relied upon to implement German plans in the field of green hydrogen.
