Cabinet ratifies EEHC- Scatec cooperation to build 1GW solar plant

Arab Finance: The Egyptian cabinet has endorsed the signing of a cooperation protocol between Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) and Norwegian Scatec to establish a solar power plant with a capacity of 1 gigawatt (GW), as per a statement.

The deal also covers storing electricity via storage batteries.

Furthermore, the cabinet approved sealing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) under which the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) is allowed to conduct the needed studies on the lands determined by the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy to execute a 10-GW solar power project
