Belgium’s Tractebel awarded consultancy contract for Zaafarana-Gabal Zeit wind project

Arab Finance: The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE) has assigned the consultancy works at Zaafarana and Gabal Zeit wind farms to the Belgian engineering firm Tractebel, two government officials told Asharq Business.
Tractebel will assess the offer anticipated to be submitted by the UK-based Actis to acquire Zaafarana and Gabal Zeit, one source said.
The other source pointed out that Actis is currently finalizing some issues before submitting its final offer in the coming days, stressing that Tractebel will evaluate the offer in coordination with a government committee.
The deal’s value is expected to be worth at least $380 million, one source said, adding that Actis would be notified to submit another offer in case of offering inadequate value for the farms.
