Arab Finance: The Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) to support the Enhanced Water Resources Management Project in Egypt, as per a statement on December 14th.
The MoU came within the framework of boosting joint cooperation between Egypt and Spain and exchanging technical expertise in the field of water resources.
It also aims to enhance water management and planning to increase the efficiency of using irrigation water, optimize the use of agricultural wastewater, and improve water quality.
Moreover, it seeks to foster cooperation between specialized research centers and institutions in both countries, create a joint work group to follow up on the activities, provide technical training to the ministry’s staff and improve their capacities, and form a joint team of experts.
