Egypt to wrap up 5G implementation study soon: CIT Minister

Arab Finance: Egypt is about to finalize a detailed study to start working with the fifth generation (5G) network technology soon, Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat told Asharq Business on February 14th.

"We are now studying with companies how to benefit the most from this frequency spectrum by expanding the construction of more mobile towers and connecting the towers to fiber-optic networks, which will positively affect the quality of service,” Talaat said.

The communications and information technology sector was the most growing sector during the last four years at a rate ranging between 15-17% annually, the minister revealed
