Arab Finance: Egypt has allocated a total of EGP 82.7 billion to implement 586 development projects in the governorate of Giza under the current fiscal year (FY) 2023/2024 investment plan, as per a statement by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
These earmarked investments represent an 8.8% increase from the previous FY plan.
They will be directed to several sectors, including transport, housing, higher education, pre-university education, and antiquities.
The governorate will see EGP 35 billion in investments to develop the transport sector, EGP 32 billion for housing, and EGP 5.6 billion for higher education.
The plan also covers around EGP 2.7 billion for drinking water and sanitation services.
