Arab Finance: Egypt’s total agricultural exports have surpassed 4.5 million tons since the beginning of 2024, valuing at around $2.6 billion, up by 400,000 tons, or $0.5 billion, as compared to the corresponding period last year, Minister of Irrigation and Land Reclamation El Sayed El Quseir stated.
Top Egyptian agricultural exports were citrus fruits, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, sweet potatoes, pomegranates, garlic, strawberries, green beans, guavas, and grapes.
Citrus fruits topped the list of exports with 1.978 million tons, followed by potatoes with 862,226 tons, the minister said.
Onions came in third place with 96,286 tons, followed by 82,333 tons of green beans and 63,337 tons of sweet potatoes.
