Arab Finance: Egypt has allocated a total of EGP 76 billion to implement 557 projects in the governorate of Giza under the current fiscal year (FY) 2022/2023 investment plan, marking a 15% increase from the previous FY plan, according to a statement by the Planning Ministry on April 3rd.
The investment will be directed to several sectors, including electricity, housing, local development, water resources and irrigation, and higher education and scientific research.
Giza will see EGP 48.4 billion in investments to develop the transport sector, EGP 15 billion for housing, and EGP 2.9 billion to enhance higher education and scientific research.
The plan also includes about EGP 2.3 billion for drinking water and sanitation services.
