Labor ministry declares July 20th, 23rd as official holiday for private sector

Arab Finance: Ministry of Labor declared Thursday, July 20th, and Sunday, July 23rd, as official paid holidays for the private sector on the occasion of the Islamic new year and the anniversary of the 23 July Revolution, according to a statement on July 16th.

Business owners can oblige employees to work during the holiday, provided that they must be double-time paid.

The Egyptian cabinet and the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) made the same announcement earlier.
