Egypt in talks with UAE’s Emaar, Qatari Diar over new expansions

Arab Finance: Egypt is in talks with UAE-based Emaar Properties and Qatari Diar over expanding their business in the country, Asharq Business reported on August 7th, citing CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Hossam Heiba as saying.

During a press conference held in Cairo, Heiba added that a digital platform for the establishment of companies will be launched within days, noting that dealing with investors will be completely electronic by the end of the year.

Emaar Misr represents about 15% of Emaar Properties, the largest real estate developer in the UAE, with mega projects such as Mivida, Uptown Cairo, and Marassi.
