ArabFinance: M.B Engineering (MBEN) has opened an electric vehicles’ (EV) charging station through its subsidiary Sha7en, in collaboration with National Petroleum Co, Al Borsa Newspaper reported, citing Managing Director of M.B Engineering Ahmed Bahaa Eldin Shalaby.
The station can accommodate up to 14 cars, and it has a charging capacity of 380 kilowatts per hour, he said.
The pricing of charging has not been finally approved by the Ministry of Electricity, Shalaby pointed out.
This marks the first charging station as part of several stations to be built across the country under the company’s strategic plan, Shalaby highlighted.
This investment comes in line with the directives of the government to support the electric cars industry, he added.
Established in 1990 and listed in 2014, M.B Engineering is a public company, which operates within the capital goods sector and focuses on construction and engineering.
