Misr Oils and Soap turns to loss in H1 FY 2021/2022

ArabFinanceMisr Oils and Soap Company (MOSC) has turned to losses during the first half (H1) of fiscal year (FY) 2021/2022, according to the company’s unaudited financial indicators filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

The company has incurred a net loss of EGP 2.506 million in H1 FY 2021/2022, versus a net profit of EGP 6.61 million in H1 FY 2020/2021.

Meanwhile, the company’s revenue grew to EGP 1.01 billion in the six-month period ended December 31st 2021 from EGP 786.84 million in the same period of 2020.

MOSC is an Egypt-based company engaged in the extraction and refining of oils from plants and animals, and the production of soap and detergents. The company’s oil products include sunflower oils, corn oils, cotton seeds oils, soya oils, ghee, and butter.
