EGYFERT cuts Q1 consolidated loss by 47.2% YoY

Arab FinanceSamad Misr (EGYFERT) (SMFR) reported a 47.2% year-on-year (YoY) drop in consolidated losses for the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, according to the company’s consolidated financial statement filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on May 26th.

Consolidated loss excluding minority interest stood at EGP 51,329 in Q1 2022, versus EGP 97,248 in Q1 2021.

Meanwhile, the company’s standalone net loss after tax plunged to EGP 14,940 in Q1 2022 from EGP 385,997 in the year-ago period, according to the standalone financial statement.

EGYFERT is an Egypt-based shareholding company engaged in the agricultural products trading and distributing sector. It is specialized in export, import, and general trading of different types of agricultural fertilizers, chemicals, and other related products, as well as investing in other companies in the same field.
