EG Bank’s standalone net profit hikes 23% YoY in H1

Arab FinanceEgyptian Gulf Bank (EG Bank) (EGBE) posted a 23% year-on-year (YoY) increase in standalone net profit after tax for the first half (H1) of 2022, according to the financial indicators filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on July 20th. 

The bank’s standalone net profit after tax stood at EGP 409.46 million in H1 2022, compared to a profit of EGP 333.95 million in the same period of 2021. 

Earnings per share (EPS) in the six-month period ended June 30th amounted to EGP 0.95 from EGP 0.77 in H1 2021. 

EG Bank is engaged in the provision of corporate, retail, and investment banking services through a network of 16 branches located across Egypt.
