Egypt Free Shops records 5% YoY higher standalone profit in 3 months

Arab FinanceEgypt Free Shops Company (EFSC) (MFSC) posted a 4.94% year-on-year (YoY) increase in standalone profit after tax during the first quarter (Q1) of fiscal year (FY) 2022/2023, according to financial statements filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on November 3rd.

The company’s standalone net profit after tax rose to EGP 48.682 million in the three months ended September 30th from EGP 46.39 million in the same quarter a FY earlier.

Total operating revenue declined to EGP 227.01 million in the July-September period from EGP 232.212 million in Q1 FY 2021/2022.

EFSC is an Egypt-based company listed on the EGX, engaged in the import and sale of duty-free goods and consumer products.

It offers several brands and types of alcoholic beverages, tobacco, fragrances, and gift items.
