Egypt, UNIDO mull fostering cooperation in green projects, industrial development

Arab Finance: The Egyptian government and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) are probing strengthening cooperation in the fields of industrial development, green projects, and the implementation of projects under the Nexus of Water, Food, and Energy (NWFE) program, a statement showed.

This came during a meeting between the Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat and the Representative of UNIDO’s Regional Office Hub in Egypt Patrick Jean Gilabert.

The meeting also tackled UNIDO’s current development cooperation portfolio in Egypt, which covers 18 projects valued at $52 million.

This is in addition to future collaboration in various fields under the UNIDO’s Program for Country Partnership (PCP) 2021-2025, which aims to promote Egypt’s inclusive and sustainable industrialization.
