Arab Finance: DP World, the operator of Ain Sokhna's multipurpose terminal, has welcomed a brand-new mobile harbor crane manufactured by Konecranes, as per an emailed press release.

Arriving via the Portuguese vessel Vestvind from Belgium, the crane boasts an impressive capacity of 125 tons and can discharge up to 10,000 tons daily and it is specifically tailored to handle Capesize bulk carriers.

Complementing this acquisition, DP World in Sokhna has also acquired two Caterpillar 988,000 loader cranes capable of lifting 25 cubic meters per lift, along with loading transport vehicles.

Scheduled for operational deployment this April, these additions are poised to further streamline terminal operations.

DP World has expanded its presence in Egypt with the establishment of five freight forwarding offices across key locations, including Cairo, Alexandria, Cairo Airport, Sokhna, and Beni Suef.
