FRA, USAID forge MOU for women’s non-banking financial inclusion

Arab Finance: The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to expand the scope of non-banking financial inclusion for women, which is implemented by Pathfinder International, as per a statement on January 29th.

The MoU aims to empower women to benefit from non-banking financial services to improve their standards of living.

This will be achieved by nominating a representative from the authority’s senior management to participate in the National Advisory Committee for the Women’s Economic and Social Empowerment Program.

Women represent about 35% of the FRA’s workforce.
