Egypt’s manufacturing, extractive industries index slips 0.55% MoM in November

Arab Finance: Egypt’s index of manufacturing and extractive industries, excluding crude oil and petroleum products, recorded 96.25 in November 2023, down 0.55% month on month (MoM) from 96.78 in October, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed.

The index of food industries rose 2.53% MoM in November to 119.5 from 116.55, while the index of tobacco products increased by 29.68% MoM to 176.63 from 136.2 in October.

On the other hand, the index of electronics saw a 5.74% monthly downtick in November to 104.21 from 110.56, while the index of non-metal minerals, including bricks, glass, and cement, went down 5.13% MoM to 84.51 from 89.08 last October.
