Egypt directs to regulate operations in municipal bakeries, distribution points in Ramadan

Arab Finance: The Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali Moselhy has issued a ministerial directive aimed at organizing operations in municipal bakeries and distribution points for essential commodities and other commercial activities during the month of Ramadan, as per a statement by the ministry.
The directive calls for the establishment of a central operations room in each supply directorate, along with subsidiary rooms in supply administrations, to monitor supply stability and address citizen complaints promptly.
The directive includes allowing subsidized bread dispensing machines in municipal bakeries to operate from 8 AM to 5 PM, with exceptions for some bakeries to operate until 9 PM based on the directorate's plan and bakery requests. Each directorate will be responsible for scheduling bakery hours according to the specific conditions of each area, ensuring the availability of local bread throughout the day for citizens' convenience.
