Arab Finance: Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El Khatib met with the Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt Fawzia bint Abdullah to probe fostering joint economic ties between Egypt and Bahrain, a statement showed.

During the meeting, El Khatib highlighted the need to bolster Bahraini investments in the Egyptian market.

He added that the Egyptian government is currently targeting increasing the private sector’s involvement in the national economic system, noting that it is working on offering additional facilities to investors by reducing the number of government agencies that deal with them.

Moreover, El Khatib expressed his ministry’s keenness to offer further incentives to Bahraini investors.

For her part, Abdullah stressed the importance of enhancing the joint efforts between both countries to activate all the agreements and memoranda of understanding sealed by both sides.
