Paymob, Chefaa cooperate to digitize pharmaceutical payments in Egypt

Arab Finance: E-payment services provider Paymob has partnered with the pharmacy benefits platform Chefaa to lead the digital transformation of pharma retail payments in Egypt, as per an emailed press release on June 20^th.

The deal aims to digitize payment processes for the pharmaceutical sector by providing safe and seamless payment cards as well as offering payment services via points of sale (PoS).

Moreover, Chefaa’s users will be allowed to use Paymob’s buy now, pay later (BNPL) service instead of cash upon receipt service.

The partnership will also widen the customer base of small pharmacies which, in turn, would scale up its sales.
