Arab Finance: Egypt’s Ministry of Trade and Industry has inaugurated the Egyptian-Qatari Economic Investment Forum on November 14^th, as per a statement by the ministry.

Minister of Trade Ahmed Samir confirmed that Egypt and Qatar have distinguished bilateral relations based on a long history of cooperation in various political, economic, and commercial fields.

He added that the Egyptian government is sparing no effort to provide support to Qatari companies investing in the Egyptian market and encourage them to make new investments in the near future.

On the sidelines of the forum, Samir held a discussion with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani to discuss ways of enhancing joint economic relations.

The forum has witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between Egyptian and Qatari companies in the domains of real estate, food industries, and automotive.
