Egypt is looking to purchase 20 liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes to be delivered from October to December, marking its first time importing LNG for the winter season since 2018.

Egypt is planning to import up to 17 new shipments of liquefied natural gas (LNG) during the fourth quarter (Q4) of this year.

The Egyptian government announced the schedule of power cuts in each governorate to ease loads on electricity networks, according to a statement on July 31st.

The government would keep easing loads on electricity networks and maintaining all these measures if the crisis persisted until the first or second week of September, Madbouly said.

Electricity blackouts in Egypt are expected to last until at least the end of August, albeit at a slower pace, until all the necessary petroleum products to operate power stations are provided.
