Egypt opened a second container terminal at East Port Said Port, supported by a $175 million loan from the International Finance Corporation (IFC)

A consortium made up of Sky Logistics and Reliance Logistics is in talks with Bank du Caire to borrow $65 million to set up a multipurpose terminal at the East Port Said Port.

The General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has announced the signing of two contractual obligations for establishing container and multi-purpose terminals worth a total of $565 million in investments at East Port Said port.

East Port Said Port was ranked 10th in the World Bank’s Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) 2022, moving up from the 15th place in 2021.
