Egypt considers raising minimum wage for private sector to EGP 7,000

Egypt's National Wages Council (NWC) is considering an increase ranging between 16% and 20%, valued at around EGP 1,000 to EGP 2,000, in the minimum wage for private sector workers.

Egypt increases private sector minimum wage to EGP 3,500 starting January 1st

The National Wages Council (NWC) has decided to raise the minimum wage for private sector employees to EGP 3,500 from EGP 3,000 as of January 1st, Ministry of Planning and Economic Development stated on October 27th.
