Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib held an open dialogue with exporters during a conference organized by the Engineering Industries Export Council to discuss the future of industry and engineering exports in light of Egypt’s fiscal policies.

The government allocated the highest budget for export during the current fiscal year (FY) at EGP 45 billion, Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk said.

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has directed banks to provide the necessary support to their exporting clients to help them comply with international sustainability standards throughout the production stages of their export goods.

A total of EGP 67 billion has been allocated to support over 3,000 exporting companies since 2019, with EGP 12.2 billion directed towards the food industry, Deputy Minister of Finance for Financial Yasser Sobhi Policies said during the first conference of food industry exporters.

The CEO of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) Basil Rahmy has signed a $3 million financing contract with Enmaa Finance Company to provide financial support to medium and small enterprises engaged in export activities, as per a statement.
