Arab Finance: The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Germany-based technology firm Siemens to expand the latter’s research and development operations in the advanced technologies area in Egypt, a statement showed.
Under the MoU, ITIDA will provide the needed logistic support to Siemens to expand its operation in Egypt, especially in the fields of software engineering, research, development, and electronics design.
On the other hand, Siemens will boost cooperation between Siemens EDA Academy of Excellence and Egyptian academic institutions to promote the digital skills of the Egyptian staff members in the fields of electronics design and digital drawing CADtools via several training initiatives.
The MoU also aims to empower Egyptian start-ups specialized in the electronics design area and enhance the environmental innovation system.
