Egypt garners EGP 40B from customs fees in H1 FY2023/24

Arab Finance: Egypt has raised EGP 40 billion in proceeds from customs fees during the first half (H1) of the current fiscal year (FY) 2023/2024, versus EGP 28 billion in H1 FY 2022/2023, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority (ECA) El-Shahat Ghatoury told Asharq Busniess.

He added that the negative repercussions of the attacks in the red sear would appear during the second half (H2).
