ACWA Power commences commercial operations at 200-MW solar plant in Aswan

Arab Finance: ACWA Power has received a the project commercial operation certificate for the 200-megawatt Kom Ombo solar power plant in Aswan, as per a disclosure on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul).

The Saudi company fully owns the Kom Ombo for Energy project.

The project is under a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), with a total investment of SAR 611 million.

The financial impact of this project is expected to be reflected on the company’s business starting the third quarter of 2024.
