Arab Finance: Gold prices in Egypt registered a decline on Tuesday, with the 24-karat falling by 5.75% to EGP 4,611.5 per gram for buying and EGP 4,640 for selling, according to iSagha’s data.
The 22-karat gold price dropped by 5.25% to EGP 4,227.25 per gram for purchasing and EGP 4,253.25 for selling.
Additionally, the 21-karat decreased by 5% to EGP 4,035 per gram for buying and EGP 4,060 for selling.
The 18-karat gold price went down by 4.25% to EGP 3,458.5 per gram for purchasing and EGP 3,480 for selling.
The gold pound plummeted by 40% to EGP 32,280 for buying and EGP 32,480 for selling.
Meanwhile, the gold ounce’s price went up by 0.75%, recording $2,893.66 for buying and $2,893.93 for selling.
It is worth highlighting that gold prices surged to an all-time high globally as investors sought safe-haven assets after US President Donald Trump imposed new tariffs on steel and aluminum imports.
