CIB leads Forbes’ top 50 listed companies in Egypt

Arab Finance: Egypt’s leading private-sector bank, Commercial International Bank (CIB), topped Forbes' “Top 50 Listed Companies in Egypt 2023” which includes the most valuable and profitable players in the country, according to a statement on June 14th.

The banking sector in Egypt led the list as CIB ranked 1st with a market value of $5.2 billion and total assets of $20.6 billion, followed by QNB Alahli.

Market giants Telecom Egypt, Elsewedy Electric, and Egyptian Kuwaiti Holding (EKH) claimed the third, fourth, and fifth spots, respectively.

The list also included the leading real estate players Talaat Mostafa Group Holding (TMG Holding), Orascom Development Egypt (ODE), Palm Hills Developments, Madinet Masr, and SODIC.

As for Forbes’ Top 100 Listed Companies for 2023 in the Middle East, Saudi Arabian Aramco came at the top of the list, with $604.4 billion in sales and a market value of $2.1 trillion.

Saudi SABIC came second followed by Qatar’s QNB Group, and the Saudi National Bank.
