Arab Finance: Trading on the shares of TAQA Arabia in the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has started today, July 9th, at 10:00 am, as per an emailed release.
The session was attended by Chairman of the EGX Rami El-Dokany, Chairman of TAQA Arabia Khaled Abu Bakr, and other officials.
“The listing of a major group such as TAQA Arabia on EGX encourages more successful private sector companies to go public, which improves the supply side in the stock market,” El-Dokany commented.
“At TAQA Arabia, we are fully committed to expanding our portfolio of services, with the EGX playing a vital role in fulfilling our growth strategy as a reliable source of financing,” Abu Bakr said.
On June 4th, the EGX’s listing committee approved the listing of TAQA Arabia’s shares with an issued capital of EGP 676.176 million under the ticker symbol (TAQA.CA).
