Arab Finance: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi has participated in the Future Minerals Forum 2026, taking place in Riyadh from January 13th to 15th, according to a statement.
The three-day event gathers ministers and mining officials from 100 countries, along with 70 leaders of international organizations and institutions concerned with mining and finance.
Representing Egypt in the forum, Badawi showcased the country’s investment opportunities in light of new reforms, incentives, and advantages that support attracting more investment for mineral exploration and exploitation in Egypt.
He emphasized that Egypt's participation in the previous edition of the forum was a key step to transferring expertise and advanced models in the mining sector.
This will support human capacity-building programs and training, allowing mining personnel to keep pace with global practices.
The meeting discussed priorities for international cooperation in the mining sector, including mineral supply chains, infrastructure financing, human capacity building, and enhancing transparency and sustainability in the mining sector.
Discussions also touched upon strengthening international coordination to face challenges and advance the role of the mining sector in development.
