CBE declares July 23rd bank holiday for Revolution Day

Arab Finance: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said all banks operating in the country will be closed on Thursday, July 23rd, to mark the anniversary of the 23 July Revolution.

Banks will resume operations on Sunday, July 26th, according to a CBE statement.

The announcement follows a decision by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly declaring July 23rd an official paid holiday for employees and workers in ministries, government agencies, local administrative authorities, and public and private sector companies.

Also, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) said trading will be suspended on Thursday, July 23rd, and will resume on Sunday, July 26.
