Arab Finance: Cityscape Egypt has signed a partnership agreement with startup accelerator Flat6Labs to launch the third edition of the Egypt PropTech Challenge, aimed at supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in the real estate sector, as per a statement.

The agreement was signed by Cityscape Egypt Exhibition Director Robier Daniel and Flat6Labs Director of Marketing and Communications Sherief Hassan, as part of preparations for the Cityscape Egypt exhibition, which is scheduled to take place from September 30th to October 3rd, 2026, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center.

The challenge seeks to expand its reach regionally and internationally this year, positioning itself as a platform for startups specializing in real estate technology and related fields.

"The continuity and growth of the Egypt PropTech Challenge reflect our commitment to fostering innovation and accelerating digital transformation in the real estate sector," Daniel said in a statement.

He added that the partnership with Flat6Labs would help startups gain greater visibility, build strategic partnerships, and benefit from evaluations by investors and experts in venture capital and digital transformation.

Flat6Labs, which operates startup programs across the Middle East and Africa, said the initiative aligns with its mission of supporting entrepreneurial ecosystems in emerging markets.

"Over the past 15 years, our mission at Flat6Labs has centered on building strong entrepreneurial ecosystems in emerging markets," Hassan said. "We look forward to creating real opportunities that connect startups with investors and contribute to advancing the innovation ecosystem."

The Egypt PropTech Challenge targets startups from Egypt, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and Africa working in areas including property technology, construction technology, smart cities, facility management, and sustainability.

Finalists will receive mentorship from industry experts and present their solutions to investors and decision-makers during the Cityscape Egypt exhibition. Winners will receive benefits including a complimentary exhibition booth at Cityscape Egypt 2027 and access to workspace facilities provided by innovation partner WRK+.

Cityscape Egypt said the initiative reinforces its role as a regional platform bringing together investment and innovation across the real estate ecosystem.
