Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Thursday, September 10, as the EGX30 index went down 0.39% to 56,280.17 points.
The Shariah index fell by 0.12% to 6,755.59 points, while the EGX35-LV dropped by 0.11% to 6,999.12 points.
On the other hand, the EGX70 index and EGX100 index closed the session higher by 0.32% to 21,403.27 points and 0.17% to 27,997.27 points, respectively.
EGX’s turnover hit EGP 12.118 billion through the trading of 2.979 billion shares over 275,129 transactions. Meanwhile, the market cap totaled EGP 4.408 trillion.
Individuals controlled 78.61% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 21.38%.
Egyptians took over 89.19% of total trading, while foreign and Arab investors equaled 6.87% and 3.94%, respectively.
Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 329.517 million and EGP 189.314 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 518.832 million.
