Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Wednesday, with the EGX30 down 0.06% to 53,265.16 points.
The Shariah index went up by 0.24% to 6,601.5 points, while the EGX35-LV climbed by 0.14% to 6,530.69 points.
Both the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index closed the session higher by 0.27% at 19,695.01 points and by 0.22% to 26,010 points, respectively.
A total of 1.640 billion shares were exchanged over 198,937 transactions at a value of EGP 7.632 billion. The market cap reached EGP 4.203 trillion.
Individuals accounted for 76.04% of trading transactions, while institutions represented 23.95%.
Egyptians dominated 88.56% of total trading, while foreign and Arab investors made up 10.51% and 2.92%, respectively.
Foreign and Arab traders were sellers with EGP 214.441 million and EGP 67.106 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were buyers with EGP 281.547 million.
