Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Wednesday, as the EGX30 index went down 0.77% to 51,894.83 points.
The Shariah index also closed the session lower by 0.56% at 6,251.8 points
On the other hand, the EGX35-LV rose by 0.93% to 6,322.84 points.
Both the EGX70 index and the EGX100 index ended the session higher by 1.11% at 18,625.73 points and by 0.64% to 24,776.36 points, respectively.
EGX’s turnover hit EGP 8.841 billion through the trading of 2.024 billion shares over 236,386 transactions. The market cap hit EGP 4.056 trillion.
Individuals controlled 74.66% of trading transactions, while institutions made up 25.33%.
Egyptians took over 87.97% of total trading, while Arab and foreign investors represented 3.07% and 8.96%, respectively.
Foreign and Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 412.053 million and EGP 34.907 million, respectively. Egyptian investors were sellers with EGP 446.960 million.
